Good Morning all,
We've encountered an extremely strange problem with users that access our network. We have a virtual server farm setup with Remote Desktop Services that allows our users to connect and use the network and applications. Users connect to the farm via thinclient devices. Last week Friday, users who logged onto the farm started experiencing an issue where when they try to open documents (Word, Excel, etc.) the documents seem to be opening, then freeze up. Those who are able to open documents and try to print also experience the freeze-ups. When we go to devices and printers, it seems to be loading the printers that the user's profile has, but takes forever to do so and ends up displaying nothing at all. We have Office 2010 installed on the farm and we have a separate virtual server that has been set as the print server for the domain. We have checked our event logs and checked that the correct drivers are installed, no dice. We have also restarted the virtual and host servers to no avail. Printers are pushed to users via group policy and the only users who have issues are those that connect to the farm, with the exception of two desktop users who are experiencing the same issue as the thinclient users. I should also add that our systems administrator recently virtualized the domain controllers. Can anyone shed some light on this issue please? I'd really like to have our users back up and running. I hope that I've provided enough information to go on and that what I've said made sense.
Thanks in advance.
