Environment:
- Windows 2012 DC doubles as RDS Licence server for a 2003 farm and a 2008 R2 farm
- 2008 R2 Device Cals activated and working (kind off)
- RDS Licence server is enforced by policy per device on all RDS/terminal servers
- RDS Licence server is configured in domain mode
Case:
When i connect with the Windows 8 client (RDP) to a 2003 Server i get a registration on the RDSL under "Windows Server 2003 - Temporary TS per device CAL"
When i connect with the Windows 8 client (RDP) to a 2008 R2 Server i get a registration on the RDSL under "Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 - Temporary TS or RDS per device CAL" and it disapears under "Windows Server 2003
- Temporary TS per device CAL"
When i connect again with the Windows 8 client (RDP) to a 2008 R2 Server i get a registration on the RDSL under "Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 - Installed TS or RDS per device CAL", the following events appear:

Level: Information

".
Both events have the same time.
The Windows 8 client has a permanent device cal now and a 2008 R2 temp one, confirmed in the RDS Licence console.
When i connect with the Windows 8 client (RDP) to a 2003 Server i get a registration on the RDSL under "Windows Server 2003 - Temporary TS per device CAL", and under "Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 - Installed TS or
RDS per device CAL" still exists.
When i connect with the Windows 8 client (RDP) to a 2008 R2 Server i still have a registration on the RDSL under "Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 - Temporary TS or RDS per device CAL", it disapears under "Windows Server
2003 - Temporary TS per device CAL".. and under "Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 - Installed TS or RDS per device CAL" it still exists.
Can anyone explain this behavior?
