I'm working with a client who would like to use a remote desktop solution for System Center Service Manager console users located outside the central office. The client needs to determine the following information to justify resources for a remote desktop server:
- Number of active consoles over time
- How much memory each active console consumes over time
- Whether the console activity comes from a remote location or from within the central office
The first idea that comes to mind is to create a custom data collector set to record this information at various intervals throughout the day. However, I'm unable to find or determine the performance counters I need.
Do you have any ideas on how to capture this information?
