We have a Windows Server 2008R2 system configured with a RemoteApp that is used by employees in our company. This program is used for medical documentation and accurate updates are very important. To help our users we would like to add functionality to use
a keyboard shortcut to insert a time stamp.
In short, we want our users to be able to press a key combination such as Shift + F6 and it automatically insert their name and the current time.
For example a press of Shift + F6 would insert "John Doe 5/13/13 3:30pm"
We have found some 3rd party applications to handle the time stamp, but the input does not traverse the connection to the server to insert it in to the RemoteApp program if the program that inserts the stamp is running on their local computer.
In addition, using a RemoteApp prevents the program from being started when a user connects to the server as only the RemoteApp program is started.
We have run in to a bit of a wall, if anyone has any suggestions on how to accomplish this please let me know.
