I have a strange problem on both a blade server running Server 2008 R2 SP1 and a Hyper-V VM running Windows 7 SP1. After restarting the computers, I try to Remote Desktop to them, but get a message:
However, when I use Remote Access Controller or HyperV Connection to log on first, then when I use Remote Desktop, it succeeds. I must have an active profile before I can Remote Desktop to either.
These two did not formerly act this way, but I don't know when it started happening to figure out what might have changed.
Any suggestions for what "broke" and how to "fix" it so I can RDP on a recently-restarted computer?
