Can anyone tell me how the RDP8 client on Windows 7 determines the connection quality? I have clients connecting to a server 2012 RDGateway that ultimately connects them to a Windows 7 VDI session (personal, not pooled). UDP enabled on all clients. Some clients report excellent while others report good and even poor. I suspect it's the clients internet connection speed and therefore there are obviously things I can look at from that side. However I have two clients that have the same connection speed (via a speedtest) and still report different connection qualities in RDP8. Therefore it's using something else to determine connection quality and I would like to know what it is using and what benchmarks it uses to report excellent vs good vs poor.
