Session Freezes

Terminal Services on my Windows 2003 normally works fine. However, when I RDC in from a Windows 7 Virtual Machine running on a Windows 8 host, it occassionally hangs up. "Occassionally" means once every few days. That is, it becomes completely unresponsive except that I can close the session from the blue bar at the top. When I reopen the session, the window is sas it was when I closed the session -- i.e. all of the previously-running apps are still visible and still unresponsive. The only way I've found to get rid of the unresponsive seesion is to boot Windoes 2003.

At least some of the time, this happens after I hit ctl-C to copy text. I don't know if that's the only time it happens. However, I do know that the reverse isn't true -- hitting ctl-C doesn't always cause the problem.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Would running RDC directly from the Windows 8 host help?

Thanks.
