The issue that weve been experience is that our windows server 2003 has been losing RPC connection every 30-33hrs after a restart.
The message that appears when you remote logon(using: MSTSC , RDP) to the server offsite is attached – The System cannot log you on due to the following error: The RPC server is unavailable ..Please try again or consult your system administrator
I Have updated the following
1. DNS settings correct.
2. Correct Time and Time zone settings.
3. The "TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper" service is running and set to restart if fail.
4. The "Remote Registry" service is running and set to restart if fail.
Note: if you are physically on the server during this ‘lost of connection’ period then you are still able to navigate within the server and it is still possible to ping the server from the other servers onsite or vise versa. The problem revolves around RPC something I believe. The Memory is fine and the page file isn’t an issue. Can anyone help or have any other ideas i could look for that may be causing this?
