We've got a smal virtual RDS farm with one virtual RDS licence server we'd registered our User RDS Cals on. The SAN Lun this was sitting on got horribly corrupt after a SAN upgrade, and we lost it.
I'm now trying to set up another RDS Licence server, and need to re-enter the User CALs against the replacement server.
I've done a bit of research, and all I can find is you've got to either use a utility to squirt the licences from one live server to another, or if the source server is offline, you need the source license server ID - I've no idea what it was or where it was recorded.
Any ideas?
The next step would be to split the CAL User licences we've got into two, and register each on a separate RDS Licence server, and tell all the RDS servers about both.
