I set-up 2 user names for myself on my VM, 1 with admin rights (e.g. User-Admin) and 1 without (e.g.User).
When I connect to my VM using my User name, I actually get connected via a User name that appends my VM name to my user name (i.e.User.VM-Name). When I click on Windows Powershell, it reads: PS C:\Users\User.VM-Name>. I did not create such a user name.
This User.VM-Name appears as a user when I go to Computer:Local Disk (C:): Users, however, it does not appear within Server Manager>Tools>Computer Management>Local Users and Groups>Users.
I cannot seem to login to my VM under my User name alone, and I cannot seem to delete this User.VM-Nameuser, either.
FYI, I am not an IT professional. I am a small businessperson investigating MS Azure VM as an alternative to Amazon AWS EC2, which I currently use. I am presently trying to replicate my AWS EC2 environment on MS Azure VM to run in parallel before making a decision on switching.
Any help towards my better understanding users and user names on MS Azure VM would be greatly appreciated.
