Is it still possible to have an RD Session Host server in one domain (domainA) connect through an RD Web Access server in another domain (domainB) with Windows Server 2012?
I've added the RD Web Access server to the Server Manager on the RD Session Host server by using theManage As function and entering my domainB credentials. However, when I attempt to use the Add RD Web Access Servers function to add it to theDeployment Servers section, I receive a Compatibility check failed error sayingUnable to connect to the server by using Windows PowerShell remoting. I've verified that I can remotely connect to the remote server in PowerShell and have added my account fromdomainA to the Administrators group in domainB.
We have this working with the Windows Server 2008 R2 version of RD Web using a two-way trust between the domains and we'd like to move to 2012 if we can, but require this functionality because we have many customer domains using our Shared 2008 R2 RD Web Access servers and it would most likely not be feasible for us to deploy RD Web Access servers in each of our customer domains.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
