We are looking for a solution for our remote locations to get better performance from several key applications. We have an electronic document management application that does not perform well across our WAN. It does however however perform well in a remote desktop environment. The downside is, our ERP system is either a telnet/ssh application or a a 32bit Java application, which does not seem to play will in RDS.
The Applications that we are needing to run in RDS are from Feith Systems (the document management app) and Jenzabar CX 8.1 (the ERP). Can anybody provide any recommendations to running java applications in a shared environment such as RDS? We are considering other VDI options, but since we already have RDS licensed and in place, we'd like to use it for the time being.
